OCTANe is hosting Orange County's first Innovation Showcase for the Biomedical and Technology communities on April 30!
Come to see 75 of OC's most innovative companies as they display their hottest products and technologies at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.
What's more, we're bringing you three of the county's leading innovators to discuss the current state of innovation, and what's next for R&D and product development in the biomedical, technology, and cleantech industries.
The lunch speakers will feature:
• Henrik Fisker - CEO, Fisker Automotive. Over the last decade, Danish-born Henrik Fisker has designed automobiles that are already legendary. The BMW Z8. The Aston Martin DB9. And the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. In 2007 he and co-founder Bernhard Koehler founded Fisker Automotive, a new manufacturer of premium green automobiles that is on schedule to start delivery of the first plug-in hybrid car. The four door Fisker Karma isn't just twice as efficient as a Toyota Prius, it also offers world class luxury and performance. Its Q-DRIVE, Lithium ion powertrain was developed by Irvine's own Quantum Technologies and propels the 100mpg car to 60mph in 6 seconds and a top speed of 125mph.

• Gary Augusta – President and CEO, OCTANe. Gary Augusta is President and CEO of OCTANe and Executive Director of the OCTANe Foundation for Innovation. Gary was recruited to start and run OCTANe, and over the past six years has grown it into the leading organization for the biomedical and technology communities in Southern California. Gary brings over 15 years experience to his role, with experience in early stage growth strategy, corporate venture, engineering, development, consulting, and M&A at technology start-ups, for- and non-profit corporations, and Fortune 500 companies.
