OCTANe has been awarded the designation as one of six state “Innovation Hubs” (iHubs) by the State of California Business, Transportation and Housing (BTH) Agency.
iHubs have the ability to enhance California's national and global competitiveness by stimulating partnerships that accelerate investment and economic development around California’s most promising hubs of innovation. The “i” in iHub represents the words innovation, inspiration, invention, ingenuity, and investment - critical elements of OCTANe's mission.
The OCTANe iHub consists of a network of the county’s leading innovators working collaboratively to fuel innovation and help new companies get started, help existing companies grow, and ultimately create jobs to drive our state’s - and our nation’s - continued economic development.
“We are very proud to receive this designation, and the State’s goal with this program is in exact alignment with our organization’s mission,” said Matthew Jenusaitis, President and CEO of OCTANe.
“Orange County has a distinguished history as one of the most innovative economic environments for information technology and biomedical devices. It is through the continued development and commercialization of these innovative technologies that our region will continue to flourish, and the iHub designation will help us achieve this.”
This designation will ultimately benefit many Orange County companies and research institutions through enhanced partnership opportunities, national and international exposure, and increased marketing opportunities.
OCTANe has researched (and individually validated) every single biomedical, technology and clean tech company from Santa Barbara to San Diego. We know who they are, where to find them, what they do, and how to reach them. What's more, we've mapped it out in aninteractive web tool.
